The most common method of sharing data between friends, colleagues, business partners, clients and associates, e-mail is arguably every person's most essential communication tool.
But while the speed and convenience of electronic messaging has greatly enhanced communication and business responsiveness, there are a few issues for individuals who use it - primarily security. To combat this Nildram have developed a unique Virus Scanning Service to protect this valuable communication tool from abuse, both internally and externally. Broadband Mail
Our Broadband Services are supplied as standard with a powerful new e-mail platform that is one of the best in the business and can include the following functionality depending upon Broadband Service selected:
- Multiple POP3 boxes - up to 5
- IMAP/POP3
- Availability of additional mailboxes
- User configuration
- Virus scanning
- Spam control
POP3 Mailbox
Usually ordered as an additional mailbox for routing specific mail to, it is used if a customer wishes to receive mail on our system and collect it through an existing Nildram account, or through a separate provider.

SMTP Forwarding
For those who require SMTP forwarding, it is available as a no-cost option for users with Static IP accounts.
If you don't know the significance of this service, then you probably don't need it! However if you do, you must have a Domain Name hosted with Nildram so that your Static IP address can be set as the primary mail server for that Domain. This means that, whilst online, your mail will be sent straight to your SMTP server. If you are not on-line when the mail comes in, it will go to our mail server and sit in the queue until the next time you login, when it will be automatically sent to you.
There is no need to set up an ETRN, just log in with your SMTP server running.
