Helping the Wildlife Trust

Essex Wildlife Trust is pleased to be working with Nildram through a Broadband Partnership. The Wildlife Trust, which is the leading conservation charity in Essex, is receiving much-needed funds to support it’s work by receiving at least £1 a month from Nildram for anyone who takes out a Broadband Connection through the charity’s promotion. Through this partnership, which enables both organisations to grow, the charity will be able to, for example, plant two trees for each new broadband customer in the first year. Other examples of how the money could be used are to:

  • Buy a Nest Box to go up in a Reserve
  • Buy a Dormouse box for surveying purposes
  • Buy bug boxes or magnifying glasses for educational use

Essex Wildlife Trust aims to protect wildlife for the future within the county through a number of initiatives:

  • It runs 7 Visitor Centres in Essex, for members of the public to get close to nature
  • It protects 86 Nature Reserves, directly safe-guarding 7,200 acres
  • It runs over 800 education events and activities every year
  • and has 29,000 members

This summer Essex Wildlife Trust has a huge number of events to get involved in, for example:
