Low cost e-mail Virus Scan is designed for small to medium-sized companies and delivers simple but highly effective virus-scanning protection. Your Broadband connection can also be protected with Anti-Virus and Spam controls - focussing on the most common entry point for viruses onto a corporate network, the Internet mail gateway.
We also offer the ideal security solution for customers running their own mail servers - E-mail Scan.
Centralised Firewall for Broadband Services
Nildram's centralised firewall can be purchased with, or added at any time to any of our standard (excluding DSL Surf products) or professional range of services, providing business-grade security for your Broadband connection. Customers on this service rest easy behind a Cisco PIX firewall located within our network, providing unparalleled security, performance and stability.
A complete secure product designed to meet the needs of most users wishing to protect themselves and stop access to their local systems from the Internet, whilst permitting users to collect and send e-mail, browse the Web and download files by FTP. Built into the centralised firewall product is the ability to map selected ports or services allowing key local services to be accessed from the Internet if required. These are outlined below.
Additional Public IP Addresses are available if required.
Configuration options
Our standard configuration blocks all ports and provides the customer with a private Nildram IP address. Complete security from all inbound traffic!
For customers looking for greater flexibility we also provide the following flexibility:
- Unblocking of the following ports:
- 21 (FTP)
- 23 (Telnet)
- 25 (e-mail)
- 80 (web)
- 443 (secure web)
- Real IP address supplied (multiple IPs also available, at additional cost)
- IP filtering (acceptable IP addresses)
How much will it cost?
Available with Broadband 2 and all Business Broadband packages. A modest monthly fee in addition to your ADSL connection charge secures your Broadband.
