Bonded ADSL

Technical Details

Nildram ceased selling bonded services on 23rd March 2006 but the service remains supported.

Bonded Solution:

  • All ATM interfaces member of one dialer-group
  • Single dialer interface with PPP multilink turned on
  • Route from CPE via dialer
  • Route from LNS via static IP
  • Lines presented each end as a single bundle

This service will allow you to use:

  • Where IPSEC VPN from CPE is required
  • With non-Cisco CPE such as LINUX bonded solution

Requirements

  • 2 or more ADSL lines in the same premises
  • A device which supports MLPPP (Multilink PPP)

Login name format will be 'gotadsl.co.uk/login-ml' where 'login' is the username that is specified in your welcome letter.

  • VPI: 0
  • VCI: 38
  • PPP Type/Encapsulation: PPPoA (PPP over ATM) NOT PPPoE
  • Framing: VC-MUX
  • Modulation/Mode: G.DMT

Ports blocked: None.

  • DNS Primary: 212.139.132.5 or 212.139.132.6
  • DNS Secondary: 212.139.132.21 or 212.139.132.22
  • MTU: 1500
