Troubleshooting
I’ve sent a request for a new record but I’m not sure if the record has been added.
You can check this by querying our DNS servers.
Windows users –
- Go to a DOS prompt by clicking on “start”, “run” and then typing “command” and clicking “ok”.
- Type “nslookup” and hit return on your keyboard
- Type “server 195.112.4.14” and then hit return
- Type the record you’re checking eg www.nildram.co.uk and hit return.
Your screen should look something like the following –
195.112.4.14 is always the 1st DNS server at Nildram to update. Once it is on our 4.14 server then the process has started.
You can continue to check 212.139.132.5 or 212.139.132.6, 212.139.132.21 or 212.139.132.22, 212.139.132.5 or 212.139.132.6 & 212.139.132.21 or 212.139.132.22 as they gradually update.
