Getting Started
Activating your DSLMail account
Before you can use your DSLMail account you must first active it through the Nildram control panel.
Go to www.nildram.co.uk and click on the My Controls icon at the top then login with your ADSL username and password.
Once in the control panel, click on the Mail icon and then Activate dslMail. Once activated you will see a screen similar to the following:
This icon displays how much of your mail quota you are using. This will be up to 40MB or 100MB depending on your account type.
This icon allows you to add mailboxes. Depending on the account you have subscribed to, you will be allowed either 1 or 5 mailboxes.
This icon takes you to the Nildram Webmail system where you can access your e-mails via a web interface.
Settings
Here you can configure options such as SPAM and Anti-Virus filtering. You will also have an option to add additional aliases for the mailbox, please note that there is a maximum of 30 aliases per mailbox.
This section displays e-mails which have been caught by the anti-spam filter. If you wish, you can move them back into your mailbox ready for download.
Configuring DSLmail Settings
To access DSLmail settings to configure your mailbox:
Log into the 'My Controls'. Select

Change Email Password
To change password simply enter and then confirm by typing new password.
Protection
SPAM ProtectionYou can change the level you wish to filter unwanted emails (excludes Surf500)
Whitelist & Blacklist
In addition to the SPAM filter you can hand pick what email addresses & domains that you would like to be accepted and refused. You may use wildcards when entering an address. For example, you can use '*@example.com' to explicitly allow all mail from the domain 'example.com', or 'example@*' to allow all mail from any mailbox named `example`, from any domain.
You can also upload a list you have specified with a text file from your hard drive.
Virus Protection - To activate simply select Enabled from the menu

You can specify how long you would like emails stored when selected to leave message on server. Also you can choose how long you would like SPAM to be removed from its folder.
Alerts and Notifications
To be made aware of virus detections leave set to none or you can redirect to your SPAM folder.
Email Forwarding
Simply enter the email address of your choice within the empty field. You also have the option to have the email also stored at your Nildram mailbox (local copy) before it is forwarded to the desired location.
Configuring Fetchmail
Select settings which will then take you to the following:
Enter details of the mail account you would like to be retrieved and then select save.
Once an account has been added it will appear as follows.
= You can remove the email account
= Shows you activity
= Change settings of the account.
Now your emails can be collected from another mailbox. This does not have to be a Nildram account.
Creating Alias . Select the button 
An alias is just another name for a mailbox.
These aliases are unlimited (excludes Surf500 = Limited to 5)
Configuring your mail client
Outlook Express (PC)
1) Click on tools then accounts from the top bar.
2) Click on Add and then Mail from the internet accounts box.
3) Enter your name and then click on Next.
4) Enter your e-mail address and click Next.
5) Set the mail server type to POP3 and enter the incoming server address as pop3.nildram.co.uk and the outgoing address as smtp.nildram.co.uk.
6) Enter the login name and the password for that mailbox then click on Next.
7) Click on Finish.
Outlook Express 5 (Mac)
1) Click on Tools then Acccounts from the top navigation bar.
2) Click on New.
3) Enter your name then click on the right arrow.
4) Enter your email address and click pn the right arrow.
5) Set the server as POP and enter pop3.nildram.co.uk as the incoming server and smtp.nildram.co.uk as the outgoing server.
6) Enter the login and the password for the mailbox then click on the next arrow.
7) Enter a name for your account and click on Finish.
Outlook 2000 (PC)
1) Click on tools and then accounts.
2) Click on Add and then Mail.
3) Enter your name then click Next.
4) Enter your e-mail address and click Next.
5) Set the server to be pop3 and enter the incoming server as pop3.nildram.co.uk and the outgoing server as smtp.nildram.co.uk.
6) Enter the login name and the password for the mailbox then click on Next.
7) Click on Finish to complete the wizard.
Outlook 2002 (PC)
1) Click on tools then E-mail accounts from the navigation bar.
2) Click on Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
3) Choose POP3 and click Next.
4) You now need to enter:
- Your name
- your e-mail address
- Your login and the password for that mailbox
- pop3.nildram.co.uk as the incoming server
- smtp.nildram.co.uk as the outgoing server
Then click on Next.
5) Click on Finish.
Macintosh Mail (version 1.2)
1) Click on Mail then Preferences.
2) Click on Add Account.
3) You now need to enter:
- Your name
- your DSL e-mail address
- Your login and the password for the mailbox
- pop3.nildram.co.uk as the incoming server
- smtp.nildram.co.uk as the outgoing server
then click on ok.
4) Click on OK to finish.
