Troubleshooting

My router isn't powering on

Check that the power supply is connected between the mains and the routers power port, try another power socket if it's still not powering on then please contact Nildram Support.

I can't log into my routers management page

  • Check that your network card is set to 'obtain an IP address automatically'.
  • Check the cabling between yourself and the router (if using a hub, remove this and try directly into the router)
  • Ensure you're using the correct address to connect to the router (http://192.168.1.254)
  • If you have forgotten your password try the default password of 'admin', (username is always 'admin'). If this fails and you cannot remember your chosen password then you may have to restore your router to it's factory default settings by holding in the pin-hole Reset button on the back of your router for 6 seconds. Now login to the router using the default username and password of 'admin' and run through the 'Quick Start' wizard.

I've configured my router but cannot connect

Check your login name and password. The login name must contain the gotadsl.co.uk or dslsurf500.xdsl domain name depending on your service.

Once done, verify you have set the vpi to 0 and the vci to 38. If these settings are all correct then check the ADSL light on the router and ensure it is lit. If not then check your cabling and filter setup.
